Before yesterday I didn't know I had to drop my bag at the corner of the entrance which was weird but ya it is what it is I needed to get what I went for and I know should anything happen to my bag it would be a police case as I respected their policy my bag should be safe so i have no problems with that at all. I went for 2 things and ended up buying more as always ???? over the years of 7. I have been shopping there without any problems. I only want the staff to be more friendly if there is a school for that, lol .

The customer service was really bad, the staffs were so rude and they made it seem as if we were begging them to sell to us. The security man wasn’t friendly and made us feel like we’re bad people. Having travelled from Cottesmore to this place(71miles), I must say I’ve never been to an Afroshop or any other shop in the uk and been asked to put my bag somewhere before I’m allowed to buy anything, except this shop. Staffs were not smiling and not even welcoming customers… I greeted one n all he/she could do was to nod his or her head without smiling back. Worst experience ever! This was our first time, and we must say we’re NOT impressed at all. One staff kept singing and roaming around the shop as if she’s in her house…. Not serious about their customer care service. They kept talking n making noise at the back of the shop, and it was very unprofessional!! Management should train their staffs on how to be friendly to customers and also have CCTV Cameras installed, rather than instructing customers to submit their baggages before they’re allowed to shop. This is the 21st Century!!! We felt so humiliated and bad. Looking as if we were begging them to sell to us. We could have gone somewhere else but decided to give you guys a try, but rather unfortunate that we r very disappointed with how you guys treat your customers, both old and new. We bought groceries worth £145 plus.

Not a terrible experience, just that their customer service experience left much to be desired. I wish I had read reviews before blindly placing an order from this online store. I received my order "next day" as promised but it arrived late at night, well after I had tried many times to reach them on the phone to no avail and had given up on ever receiving my order upon seeing the bad reviews online. At some point, I managed to get through to a number that turned out to be a "different department" that "couldn't do anything to help me" since they were "a different department to the online store". To be fair, they gave me the number to the online store but it wasn't reachable, so it didn't help much. Also, although I received an email that claimed that I could "click the button above" to track my order, there was no button so there was no way of tracking my order. I simply received a phone call from a random number (first called me by mistake, thought I was another delivery, that's how I knew they were still coming after all) late into the evening. Summary: If my experience is the norm (or close to it), then order at your own risk; there is a lot of room for improvement and if I can help it, I won't be ordering from them again.

Good experience, I no longer live in Birmingham, but I like to stock up whenever I come to visit. I don't use big bags so I didn't have any issues there. I always find what I need and for a reasonable price, staff are helpful and answer any questions you may have. I also like the restaurant, I have been eating there for a few years and I'm always happy with the food and service. I notice they have an outdoor food stand, which seems pretty popular, so I will give that a try when I visit Birmingham next week.

Samis is my ultimate one-stop African Caribbean haven! From the vibrant beats of Afro-Caribbean tunes to the shelves bursting with exotic spices & products. For me, it's not just about shopping for food stuffs & groceries at Samis; it's the experience. The courteous service from the staff creates a sense of community, making every visit a joy. Five stars for bringing the spirit of Africa and the Caribbean to our doorstep!
